Anyone know of anyone chasing rear drum brakes?

Got shrinker/stretcher for a good price with both sets of jaws and made a small brake press for internet plans.

File comment: Section after folding and running through the stretcher. The dots are just reference points for the stretch points.

That's great! I'd love a stretcher and shrinking machine. I have nowhere left to put it in the garage though!

Hey mate,
Not very often but I'm still here. Most are on Facebook. You can't beat the knowledge of this place but times have changed. Gone are the glory days of 12- 14 years ago with a bustling and active forum.

Cheers mate. I finally extended my shed and although the manager of finance has said 'it was only to fit more s#$t in', I will start again on my '71 sedan. I'll post up some pics when I'm on days off.
I ended up getting complete CA18det and a smooth skin 5 speed off a mate for a good price a while back.

I deleted my Facebook account. Massive waste of time and the data privacy stuff is just not on.

This place has helped me immensely and I'm hoping it help me understand why my 1600 just sprayed all it's oil over the engine bay the other day! :(

Not sure yet, I'm hoping it may be something as trivial as the oil filter or oil pressure switch. The photo below shows the damage, the oil filter and everything behind it got covered. I didn't notice in the morning but when I got her towed home there was a sizeable puddle on the garage floor too

Your dipstick looks "aftermarket" and appears to have an open end?

Also do you have crank case breathers that aren't blocked?

Yeah it's an L20B, some of them have the two holes depending on the location sump of the sump apparently (could be wrong but I think this is due to the wide variety of cars/trucks they were used in). I checked the open hole and it is blocked off and there was no oil residue in it either.

Thought about the breathers, it has one, but it's on the other side of the engine and it is clean as a whistle there.

Bit of a mystery!
