Jeff,

There was a problem with Clearances. With the intake fitted the Brake Master Booster reservoirs would be in the way and I would have to relocate. This is not ideal as I wish to keep the engine bay tidy and everything is original location. I am currently trying to sell the throttle bodies on Ebay

Time for an Update.

Well Everyone it has been a pain staken process. But cooling system is complete again. Fuel system is also complete. I updated the filler neck to an unleaded version with the flad which allows all new breather system set up aswell. I am hoping this illiminate the normal Fuel Smell out of a Datsun. The car has been completely rewired inside and out changed the interior light to allow map reading lights. I am awating on tyres for the wheels and intercooler piping to be done and she is driving. I have rebuilt all the braking system got all the handbrake cables setup for the tunnel handbrake lever.

Other wise all is well and moving well slowly.

Things to do.

Wheel Alignment, New tyres, interior to be completed.

I will supply more pictures over the weekend

im interested in this filler neck theory you have!
what car is it from, and is there much involved in fitting it up?

i just noticed at a motorkana on the weekend that my tank was leaking fuel on the ground via the breather,
not much mut still annoying.

overflow out the breather is common in the 1600. I'm using a VS ute filler neck with the VS Sedan Rubber. You will have to cut the filler hole around 10ml in diameter wider to fit. but other wise you can plumb it up easily.

thanks for the info mick.
any reason why it has to be a ute filler?
plenty of vs sedans at the wreckers but no utes.

The reason for the ute Neck is because it is 2 piece. the Sedans from memory are a one piece filler neck that is welded to the tank.

the Utes have a rubber hose between the neck and the tank. A ute neck is difficult I toured around a few wreckers in the western suburbs till I found a ute.

I'll place some picks on to show the setup and first chance I get

Hey Mick where did you get the lights from?

I had a complete set of these on my previous 180B, an now I've only got two which are a bit stuffed.

I had to painstakingly get them sent over from the US via a relative because the seller wouldn't ship them to Aus.

yeh coincidently Cam did his silver aswell. It is a similar silver to mine aswell LOL he is racing this weekend at Phillip Island aswell.

The lights aren't HID. They are conventional Globes with H1's and H2 Globes.

The Lights I purchased off ebay from a Local Melbourne User who was reselling but I have had them for a nearly 18 months but they do work well.

Just an update while I am here. Cooling fans have been completed and wired up. They are drawing heaps of air through the intercooler which is good as I am gettling good air flow which will help with cooling.

No other update at the moment due to low finances.
