thanks dude!

new update..

Picked up my new box that i got for an awesome price!

4 speed Jatco
Full manual valve body
fully strengthened internals, kevlar bands etc
billet input and output shafts
Transbrake
3000rpm convertor

And i also finished my diff off! was pissed off waiting around for some mates to help me out with it so i tackled the job myself! turned out great and was alot easier then i thought... dropping my axles off to be shortened during the week..

some pics

Hosing chopped up and the tubes shortened.. once you have gone this far there is no turning back haha
[ img ]

spun these up on the lathe and plug welded them into each side of the tubes
[ img ]
[ img ]

hit the pieces together in teh right spot, ground a V where i was to weld
[ img ]

welded it up and hey presto... 1 shortened diff housing!
[ img ]

Also knocked these spring saddles up also, still have to drill the hole for the shock mount

And here is a #OOPS#ty pic of my completed dash!..

update! got fairly busy today!

Got my hoodlining in and finished, came out great.. still waiting on the rest of my interior which nan said should be finished this week.
Got the carpet trimmed up and the kick plates screwed in, brake master dummied up/wilwood master fitted and started stuffing around with the wiring.

When i have my seats all in ill start making up the half cage, decided to make one my self just to mount the harnesses onto until the andra officials tell me to get another made.

also made a choice on wheels, something different and they are a new release so im sure there isnt another datto around with the same wheels..

pics! enjoy

What booster and master cyl did you get for the brakes, and was it a bolt-on jobby or did you have to make some new holes?

What brake setups are you going to put front and rear?

Looking pretty damn sweet man! Cant wait to see it done!

Thanks alot guys!.. the hard work is paying off and it is finally starting to take shape..

Haha Graham.. i dont think ill be selling this one anytime soon, after i buy a house i wont have the funds to build another one lol.. ill prob mini tub it next year and fit some 9's or 10's under the back.

Travm182- Headlining was a bit of a bitch actually! my grandmother made it (aswell as the rest of the interior) taking my time and the help of my gf we got it looking great!

Racer135- The master cylinder is a 1" Willwood tandem job, got it from the states (unsure of part # atm) Brake booster ifrom a 120y i think lol.. i got it in a box of bits with one of the 1200's ive had over the years. its 7" in diameter, required 4 holes to be drilled in the firewall and the RH strut tower to be altered by a pursuasive tool
(ie- rubber mallet!), front brakes will be Hopper stoppers billet 5 stud conversion, 295mm rotors, 4 piston PBR calipers, braided lines.. rears are just R31 drilled for falcon axles

Pick the rest of the interior up tomorrow, damn it came out great! really happy with it, also tacked up my fully street legal, EPA approved 3" side exit exhaust and 2" screamer tonight, ill finish welding it tomorrow. I painted the booster so it will go back on tomorrow. ill also be wiring up the dash... Spoke to Rod Andrews today, ordered my ANDRA approved cage, so that will be in a few weeks.. bought some red G force 5 point 3" harnesses also, should look good

So busy day tomorrow! and will have pics.... so stay tuned

Wardy
