I'd be keen on that. Gotta get a few things done first!

Hi Guys, thats great Stu don't forget my 120y 6hour plans.
Nik let us know when your car is good to go and we'll plan a practice day.
I can't wait to see the 1600 it looks fantastic!
I haven't heard from Andrew for a while i hope he's not doing power upgrades to the sr20ve
I've just about caught up to his lap times.
I while pm him and see if he's interested.
If anyone else is keen let me know and we can factor you into the mix for dates.
Cheers,

Danny\Events Coordinator Ha Ha Ha

Andrews car hasn't changed his in the same boat as me with 2 young ones. If you work out a date let me know I speak to him fairly often so could let him know.

Hi Stu, Fridays are flexible for me so lets wait for Nik so we can make a day of it.
I will be doing the 3rd round of the Winton sprint series if anyone wants to join me.
June 4th from memory I'm sure it will rain so it'll be lots of fun.

Cheers,
Danny

Hi Guys,
I competed in round 3 of the No bull sprint series and finished 3rd in my class.
As i suspected it was pissing down which was mad fun as i haven't driven in heavy rain for a long time.
There was a guy in a wrx which had a nasty crash but thankfully he walked out ok. Im sad to say the car was smashed up as it rolled several times.
Winton had some kind of issues with the results so they haven't posted the results on Natsoft but i did get a fast time in practice.
I have made some minor mods to the front end and continued with some more weight reduction to the body.
For anyone who is interested round 4 is on this weekend the 27th of August and there will be another 120y there which is great. From what i understand it has a natural sr20de like mine but its an s13 engine with a bit more hp so it will be good to compare the two cars.
If anyone has the time I would love to meet fellow members and have a chat.
Cheers,

Danny

Hi Nik,

The new surface is much smoother than the old track and they've opened out some corners as well.
After the surface was completed lap times for most people fell around 1.5 to 2 seconds.
Im really enjoying doing sprints this year but would be more enjoyable with some more Datsun's on the track.
Cheers,

Danny

Hi Guys,
I had a great day on Saturday as i managed 2nd in my class with a time of 1.39.6.
There were Datsun 1200's 1600's and 2 x 120y's at the meet which was good to see. Unfortunately none were in my group which was
disappointing. I did however have a great race with a turbo S13 sylvia which i will post on youtube when i can.
The toe adjustment changes really improved the turn in were i was struggling with understeer. Tyre temps and tyre wear seem to indicate the car needs more negative camber so i will look into that for next year. I have one more round in December then we might look at some serious mods to the rear end.
The car is still heavy so more weight reduction is planned to get the car under 900kg.
A photographer was taking shots of me during the day so I will post them soon as long as the files aren't too big.

Cheers,

Danny

Thanks Stu,
I hear what your saying theres not time between work and kids activities on the weekends.
I didn't even do anything between last round and this one. I just gave the car a wash and did a safety check.
Your car looking really cool its good how many things you can do with it compared to a dedicated track car.
Bmx racing sounds like good exercise where do you compete?

Cheers,

Danny

The better it starts looking the more I don't want to wreck it on the track but so I could see a dedicated track car in the future. On the other hand there's not much point have a track car and then the y which will probably be faster in all area's haha it's a catch 22 situation. I race in a retro class so all older guys on pre 95 bikes it's good fun as no one takes it too seriously just been doing the local tracks in my area but have been to s.a and will try and do the vic titles in Shepperton this year.
