Hi all,

For the best part of this year I have been gathering up parts to start my second Coupe project. I am nearly there, I only need rear bumper, a couple of windows and some lights for the front bar.

My other Coupe is totally original but this one will be a bit different. At this stage I am looking at staying with the original colour and general 'standard look' but as this one doesn't have the original motor, I might look at going slightly worked L20 with a 2.5 inch exhaust and a Webber..? I have thought of going SR and it might still happen but I like the idea of a bit of old L series fun. Anyway, I have plenty of time to think about that and will probably change my mind a dozen times during the build.  At this stage the timeline looks like I will start stripping it late this year/early 2012 and spend 2012 on the body and gathering more parts. (Hoping to find some more NOS bits, tail lights grill bumpers etc.) and in 2013 I will look at the engine side of things.

Stay tuned! Any thoughts or advice always welcome.

Good luck with the build Rick :)

2.5" is probably a bit big for the exhaust if its stay L series. I'd go a 2"

Hey mate, I reckon I picked it up 2 or 3 years ago. Its been sitting in a shed waiting for some attention but other things kept coming up as well as the fact that I can't make my mind up on the what motor to use. I figure now I'll just start and see whet happens :D

Speak to baz about his SR20DE stanza. Fairly easy swap by the look of it!

Yeah I reckon I'll keep it the original colour to keep it looking original and standard on the outside.

If I go down that path I will for sure. My understanding is that it's not hard, you can even use the standard engine mounts..

ok, this project never started.. I am in the process of rebuilding a C210 Skyline instead.

So, if anyone wants to take on this project I will sell it to fund the completion of the C210. Please note that it is a big project, it has rust in most panels, L18 engine that hasn't been started in 5 years, I think it has a Dog Leg box. Only things missing are rear bumper and hand brake cable. heaps of spare parts depending on how much you want to pay. Contact me via PM, serious enquiries only please.
