I have to say that is a nice Stanza you have there and good find. Although I have to say the engine bay is looking rather oily for only 20,000k's. My first Stanza only had 38,000k's on it. Mine never came with sun visor or rear venetian but I did get in the sale a very cool chrochered pillow on the rear parcel shelf.

thanks buddy!! i have actually since given the engine bay a nice clean, the pics on the othert page were from the day i picked her up, it had only seen use for around a year since it was last driven in 1983, before that it was a daily driver, so the oily engine bay was something that it had been for a long time, since giving it a clean there has been no return of any oil issues, so it's sitting nice and pretty now, i have to get in there and give it a good scrub still, but otherwise it's a very tidy engine bay...

but otherwise i've just been tidying her up a little...

gave her a full polish, tho still needs some proper paint correction

as well as some new rims, which i am yet to put on her, they're Advan A3C's, 13x6 -8

and a couple of "pretty detail" pics

and the Stanza with another one of my project cars...

of which is a KE70 wagon if anyone is interested, it;s actually a full blown car audio competition car, but you would never guess it to see it unless you stuck your head inside...

thanks for looking guys!!! hopefully we should see some more progress on the stanza soon, altho unfortunately it is also for sale atm, as i've run out of room to keep her, but while i still have her, i'm still working away on it!!

Ah man that stanza is so clean! it looks like it set up for a datsun photo shoot back in the day. I meant to ask what sort of white walls are you running are they white wall tyres or the type that intant white walls put on??

I like the KE70 wags look cool.

thanks buddy,

the walls are of the "applied" type similar to what you'd see from "instant whitewalls" but mine were done some 5 years ago by an older guy who is no longer doing them any more, the quality from him was FAR superior to what you see from the guys doing them now, it's unfortunate as he really was in a class of his own... the closest i would even feel remotely confident in recommending would be Wallstreet Kustums, as the guys there have a great professional attitude and do quite nice work, i've had a couple of my cars walled there since...

the actual walls as you can see below are 1", the 1/4" stripes separated by a 1/8" space...

as you can see the quality is still great even after 5 years (they were originally done for my Sunny)

Thanks for the info mate. It seems quality is the issue with white walls. Thats why now I'm running flappers. But the applied ones look better.

yeah that has always been my concern too, i've gone done the flappers path before, but never been happy, and the choice for actual white wall tires are pretty slim, unfortunately it's just one of those things...

yeah i wish i could some wide enough for my car but apparently they just dont exist.

Flappers are a bit of a pain you sort get used to them though.
