G'day,
I have a Stanza '81, all original, and I'm looking to 'improve/upgrade' particular parts; brakes, tires/rims, suspension, diff/rear axle (if needs be), anything that could be replaced on the L16. I'd like to keep the engine (L16 w/ 5sp), but a friend of mine has offered his spare R34 for parts plundering. I have some rust to cut out of the body and would also be keen to do a 'back to metal' paint job. In doing this I have the opportunity to strip her down and replace parts as I go.

So, I'm wondering what parts can I take from the R34 and transfer them to the Stanza? Any other parts that would suit? Any suggestions for the L16?

I'm abit of a novice when it comes to cars/mechanics but I'm looking forward to getting my feet wet for this project. I've been trawling the internets/forums/books for suggestions for a Stanza/Violet/A10 but have found little on actual details of parts/how to's.

Thoughts?

Its all custom so you wont find a guide for the mods.
