Well here it is, the car I've given up my 1600 for

It's an 83 DR30 running (obviously) an FJ20et. The lil FJ has seen some mods which have resulted in one very serious and stout unit. The crank, harmonic balancer, clutch and flywheel have all been ballanced as one unit along with all the standard rods being equally weighted to suit making one nice smooth and very revvy bottom end.
Block has been o'ringed.
Tomei cams and cam gears.
550cc injectors.
Wolf 3DV4 and multi coil set up.
Upgaraded fuel system with surge tank etc.
Garrett GT30 BB turbo with external gate and screamer pipe
Hybrid FMIC
3" exhaust.
H/D button clutch
Rebuilt FJ turbo 5 speed.
R200 4.4 lsd.

All this put together has produced 355rwhp at 19psi, car currently is running 16psi with somewhere in the vicinity of 330 horses at the treads.

Car has also been converted to adjustable coil overs up front with S14 4 piston calipers and tein adjustable coil overs on the rear and standard rear discs.
The car sits on 15" light weight enkei's with 225/50/15 rears and 205/50/15 fronts, will be looking to upgrade to 17's in the future.

Car also has what I believe is a legitamate 68000k's on the clock telling by the overall condition of the car.

This car is awsome to drive with the ability to lay down a nice twin strip in 3rd gear :P

Previous owner has laid down a respectable 12.6 down the 'Plex's 1/4 mile, on 225/50/15 streeters at 119mph and a plus 2 sec 60 foot, should be good for 11's with some stickier tyres.

More pics to come when I get home and take some more.

Yeh good question Graham, while the 1600 is a fun car to drive the DR is a real weapon, plus it is a bit more refined which is what i need in my twilight years  .

As for the GT30's responsiveness and boost, I can't fault it really, comes on fairly early, hard to say what revs as I'm usually a bit busy to take notice when the FJ starts to wail and just keeps going till it hits the limiter at 7800rpm. Is kinda scary to be honest. When the car was being dynoed by the previous owner the car was breaking traction in fourth on the rollers at 19psi, so the 355rwhp is probably not really indicative of the actual power this car is able to produce. Would be scary to see what it could do with bigger injectors and say 22psi tho
