nothing for a bluebird

plenty for a 510/610
sell out the front and rear suspension and get your $100 back

5 speed should bolt up, I would assume bluebird tailshaft would still work.

Brakes - No.

diff - Maybe (depending on what's in the bluebird) and No - stick your head under both cars and it'll be obvious why you can't use the 240K diff.

Anything else - I can't think of much on a 240K that would be useful to upgrade a bluebird.

Depending on its condition, you might be better off selling the 240K and using the procedds to buy stuff for the bluebird.

240k rear diff will fit with a modified moustache bar and a hell of a lot of welding and drilling - similar to fitting a dr30 rear end

like dave said

look under the 910 then the 240k and you will get an idea of what you are in for

just fit a series 3 910 diff and weld it...

If the 240k is not too rusty it will be worth much more than an R31. Post some pics of it?

after having a decent look at the 240k, ive decided im gonna use this body for another project.

there is a fair bit of cancer in the front doors/guards/boot but i have all that sorted.
I went out and stripped the interior today, it was trashed(althouth all the door trims and roof lining are mint :D )
after stripping it, just outta curiosity i'd see if i could start it (not hoping for to much as the car had been sitting in his paddock for the last 7yrs)
so i went in the shed, grabbed a battery, and a jerry of fuel. Poured a bit down the carby, and first turn it fired and idled...... ,i was stunned. :D

unfortunatley, i have plans to run a RB30 & 5spd and later turbo.

It seems a waste though, because the engine is fine... are these worth anything?

here are some of the pics

They look good when they are done up (and imho definitely worth more than a poobird).

If you have room in that shed, hang onto it as it will be worth something in a few years.

well after what seems an eternity the body work is startin to come together  ...
the roof was alot worse than i thought, seems like someone jumped up and down on it a couple a times :?
after many weekends weve finally got it decent(not perfect :( )
i've decided on painting it Acrylic Sno-White over black, with a Black vinyl roof (if i can find someone who does 'em)

sweet.... that'll be cool. :woohoo:

so i suppose i better tell you all what i have and have planned so far for the car....

it was gonna start off as a cheap paint job and off u go  , but the more i looked over the car, the more i realized that it deserved better than that.....

first hassle i had was trying to get a rear window...... cant get 'em new.... so i ended up buying a 2nd hand one at 3 times the price i got a new front windscreen for.....
i then decided to get all new Pedders bushes, tie-rod ends, ball-joints & shocks...
The struts have been rebuilt with Pedders sports ryder cartidges, and lowered King springs, bearing kits (waiting for brake upgrade)
rear suspension is supported by Pedders comfort gas shocks, and lowered king spring, rebuilding the half-shafts atm... new rear wheel bearing kits (hard to find :? )converting to R31 rear Disc :)

I got my carpet from Knox auto carpets, Burgundy plush pile 8) , new front race style seats, racing steering wheel & am in the process of installing custom gauges in instrument cluster.

engine is STILL open as im undecided, confused and cant make up my mind...
the worst thing is, that i cant finish my engine bay until i decide on the motor to use

started to primer the body.... the roof is starting to look decent. Might not have to get a vinyl roof after all!
[ img ]

the good side
[ img ]

and the bad side, after starting to prep this side it was clear to see it has had a major collision at some stage in its life... the panel has come up alright though.
after seeing the damage i done a chassis drop test to make sure nothing was outta whack though
[ img ]

shed full of dattos... lol
[ img ]

the start of my gauge cluster...
