gearbox is really tight, but fits.... shifter comes straight through the original hole

got a mass. 3" chrome cooler piping kit that looks sweet as too 8) ... will post some more pics

Nice work mate, this car is win. Only thing I'll say is that the colour and wheel choice can make or break the 240k's, but I'm sure you'll get it right!

they sit out on the front with the 25mm wheel spacers, but sit perfectly on the rear.... still look sh*t house though,
gotta save me $$ and get the wheels that i want- 15x7 P18 on the front & 15x8 P4 performance superlite GTR's.

should look waaaaaay betterer.

I think the stance will be real nice when you have everything back on it. What colour are you thinking of? This will help you decide on what rims you want. I find with lighter colours a more solid looking wheel suits and dark colours more airy wheels suit (except for black)

same colour as the engine bay... acrylic sno white, its simple, easy and should look clean when its done....

i want a full sleeper, besides a set of wheels.... none of that autosalon big chrome wheel crap either

i bolted all the front on and everything all looks standard, all the cooler and piping is hidden, but i had to remove the high beams to fit the cooler/piping in.... so i might just put some covers where they used to be??

a small sacrifice i had to make :giggle:

Cool. White is the best colour for a datto IMO. I'd say wantabee's or superlites. As the the high beams just get the H4 conversion lights and run low and high beam friom the same light fixture. Some headlight blanks or vents for pod filter is good as...

Chrome wheels only belong on hot rods or muscle cars.

That and full sik guys in sydney with massive hektic intercoolers and a chopped up front end of a car

alright, so with the plenum all im gonna do is get it media blasted as Lurch suggested as i CBF'd polishing it..

I found the 'near perfect' tail shaft for my conversion
93 D21 nissan path finder 4x4, yoke fits RB25det gear box and is the exact length i need. (the diff flange is quite a bit bigger than the R180's though)

it is also alot lighter than the heavy 240k tailshaft :)

and another thing you may notice is that it is 1 piece (which i like) but is this gonna have a negative effect because its IRS?

against a standard 240k tail shaft
[ img ]

the interior partially finished
[ img ]

all the windows are in :) my mates finished cleaning up the ecu side of the wiring loom :) took out the 240k radiator and fitted the R33 rad (much lighter and alot thinner but still the same amount of rows??)
fitted the EL twin thermos (i swear it will be the only ford part on my car.... besides all the patches used in the rust repair........ genuine ZH fairlane panels :giggle: )

The IRS won't be a problem with the tailshaft, but sometimes if the angle of the tailshaft to diff is to great, you'll find you go through rear gearbox seals and probably leaks some gear oil even when the seal is new.
