Should be kinda cool but why a 308? Why not a 350 chev or 384 chev? Plenty of them around. If you are going to all that toruble why not go with something that will really make you smile. A 308 will only produces about 200hp a L28 with webbers that is well sorted will produce the same power use less fuel and be alot lighter (faster car) A 350 chev if it in good nick will produce 350hp with the correct mods. A stroked 350 to 384 will produce close to 400hp. Granted the Chev option will be a bit more money but well worth it IMO. Have fun mate and get some more pics up.

The Department of Planning and Infrastructure here in W.A basically told me that was the biggest cubic inch I could put in it. I have some B cast heads lined up and a 286 cam, but these will only be put on once it's engineered and regoed. I'm hoping for about 220 hp @tw at some stage. This will be enough, the L28 was putting out about 170 @tw. My problem is I like V8s' a whole lot and besides it'll be something different.

Oh! and the other main reason is the absolute ease of the swap. I don't have to change too much. No brake upgrade or suspension, the only item they picked me up on with my submission was the size wheels I was putting on. Just means I'll have to put my originals on to begin with.

My L28 and triples have gone to a better place, hopefully once mated to a Z of some sought, together they may form a winning combination in the desired class. Anyway my L28 combo has been replaced with a 308 and Supra 5 speed which should come to life next week.
