Tell me about it, I just can't believe that it has happened.

As far as I can make out, the only difference between the GL and GT versions is the wheel trims and perhaps some minor differences in the interior trim. Only a couple of thousand sold in the UK, they were all 4 door 240 K GTs with single carb.... you know there was a 160K and a 180K too in some markets.

A 4door that's not wrecked would be very useful to me. I don't want to take a tidy one from you guys (and certainly not a 2dr) as I only need the parts, and I would be too tempted to restore a nice one!
On the other hand it would have to have enough useable parts to be worthwhile shipping over of course.
Let me know what you find - I am very grateful for your help. If it is available and suitable I am sure we can leave the back seat and trims behind for MadMax's lovely looking car.

sorry, I thought your first question about what parts were needed was to MadMax...

Most important part would be the rear quarter (side) panel as mine is severely bent, but I understand that will be time-consuming to remove from a car, and quite tricky to ship.

Other parts that are bent would be more easily repairable, but if I can replace with good, straight parts that would be preferable (and keep the bent bits as spares).
- the upper rear panel
- the lower rear panel
- the tail light mounting panel (think my light unit has survived, but a spare would be nice to
have - the chrome trims around mine have small dents in)
- the chrome trims up the side of the tail light mounting panel (left and right side)
- rear bumper
- right side rear reflector
- rear cover for the right rear light unit
- Datsun script badge for the side quarter panel
- driver's door skin
- chrome trim on top of the door skin (under the glass) on the driver's door
- a driver's side JDM door or wing mirror

I think the boot-lid didn't get damaged, it looks straight still, but hard to tell as the hole it closes into isn't the right shape anymore!

I really appreciate your offer to help, hopefully these parts on your car are straight. I appreciate it could take some time to remove parts and I am in no hurry. I dare say shipping will be possible, although not cheap - I will search out what options give you the least hassle if we get to that point.
