Ok i am new to this so bear with me, i recently got my mitts on this 260c, which i intend to leave stock as a rock but i know deep down its going to get a teency bit lower and some whitewalls.I'm the second owner, deceased estate, only driven on sundays,83000 k's now,has electris windows and boot release and fuel cap and aerial.Theres nothing better than rolling all the windows down and going pillarless to the shops. As i posted in the newbie section i had it on Ebay for a while but its grown on me so its gonna stay methinks.

I've named her Darryl, because a car needs a name.Unless it has no character.

Ahh, this one was on eBay not too long ago?

It's a minter. Keep her unmolested and fresh. You've got your hands on a real antique.

Yeah, I saw this on ebay too. Gee that's in awesome condition....looks fantastic! :hail:

I love this site, its attracting so many Cedrics now, we could "almost" have our own car show one day

Welcome, and 'Darryl' too to this website. Plenty of passionate Cedric guys on here who are willing to help you in any way they can.

You're most welcome!

Awesome 330 though man, jeez I wish I had either a 230 or 330 hardtop, especially something as minty fresh as what you have on your hands there!

I assume these were sold new across the ditch?

I have looked in the engine bay and done some measuring and have contemplated everything from a RB26 to a 302 Windsor. But as it is running sweet I'll leave it alone.Although the Windsor would put out the most wonderful sound

My mate tried to dummy fit a Windsor donk into the bay of a 330. It didn't fit properly. The steering box was the culprit...... :(

I've considered anything that's inline.....Ford xr6 turbo, 1jz/2jz, RB anything and even a TB48.

But alas I remain with the trusty old L. Call me boring but I just love em.

Did it look like it was going to be a problem with all v8 engines?? i reckon they should have come optioned with y40's, would have been awesome :( But l6 are awesome anyway.

Ah, yes the problem would exist with all V8's....big statement...... because of the shape of the engine.

There is a webpage on the net of some dude who went to great lengths to modify all of the steering to accomodate a V8 Toyota engine in a 240C 230 series. I dunno if he ever finished it. Quite a work of engineering. Not for the faint hearted though.
