Hi All
Well after years of driving modern cars, i got myself a Barn-Find. Got given a 1977 H330 260c Wagon. Haven't got pics to put up yet çause the old girl is still sitting in the barn, but from what i have seen it is in very good condition. got a couple of spots of surface rust, and a dint in the drivers guard but the rest of it looks very good. doesnt even have any splits in the dash! also still has the original radio in the dash. interior is in very good shape also (back seat looks like it never been used!) now to begin with, once i get it home i will be taking some before shots, then giving it a good clean so that i know exactally what i am dealing with. i do know that i've gotta replace the radiator hoses, and assorted tubing under the hood that the rats have gotten at, but i'm itching to get it home to get started. I'm not exactaly sure what i'm gonna do with it, but i'm leaning towards aresto/semi-custom. slightly lowered, and period mods. Oh, i also have a spare motor for it that apparently came out of a 240Z, but when he went to fit it up, the sump was an issue. Thinking of giving it a onceover, and maybe trying to fit it up by using a260C sump.
Any thoughts?

IMO keep it as stock as!
Even to the point of NOT cleaning it.
Patina is GOOD!

oh i'm just thinking of giving it a wash, not a clean clean. me i like the whole patina thing as well! AddS character.
what it's really gonna dependon is exactally what i'm dealing with once i get it home, know what i mean? At one point i was thinking about dropping a fire-breather between the front shocks, but when i saw it i just couldnt bring myself to butcher it. That's what the Daihatsu Delta is for! (Gonna rat rod the old truck). Oh, i forgot to mention, does anyone know the old ROH Hurricane style rims Datsun offered as a factory option? She's got a set on her! Anyone interested in what it cost me to buy?

direct quote fro the guy i got it from "Please take it, you'll be doing me a favour"
Yep, got given it! there is a bunch of trim and such that go with it as well. can't remember exactally what's there. like i said, gonna have a look over the spare motor, and see what i've got there. might rebuild that with a little more poke! LOL Oh, even came with the original owners manual, and still has the original rego renewal papers with it. got those sitting in here at home.

I'm waiting with bated breath for the shots... what a dreamy barn find! I'd kill to get my hands on a 330 with a D pillar!

Sorry about the delay guys. Been dealing with some pressing family issues. Talked to "Farmer Don" and unable to get the wags out of the barn yet. They have a crop of Buckwheat in and can't move the old girl yet. However he said he will make sure he gets his daughter to get some "As Is" pics for me. just waiting for him to get the pics to me.
