Gday gents, my name is Dave, Ive lurked on ozdat in various guises since about 2001
gleening info from all the datto guru's herein.

My first foray to the land of the rising sun was with a 230 260c sedan complete
with 5 speed and n2o, and, at the time im sure it was the fastest Cedric in Oz,with 16.2@88mph, but this was before they were "cool" so i parked it up and went on to other projects for a while.

Unfortunately, by the time i realised how much i missed driving it (2009) mother nature had
taken her toll, and at the time i deemed the body beyond repair and stripped/scrapped the old girl. Ive regretted that day ever since...........

Until 3 weeks ago, this is my latest steed,a 330 260c wagon finally im back baby...

This is it 30 minutes after Mark (ozconnection) and i pulled it out from under a tree
and while it was rough, with some encouragement from Mark i was able to see it was really just a diamond in the rough. Everything works, there is zero rust in the shell, its manual(floor shift 4 speed) and it came with a host of goodies and spares, (more on that later) :woohoo:

Yes this is the wagon that was on gumtree, no i didnt pay that much for it and it basically came with another wagon as spares :woohoo:

Gday pete, thanks mate, its good to be back in a "old" car, even if it is still younger than me  as for my transplant plans, look under your bonnet for a clue :giggle:

Up-your-date time,
so far ive stripped it down to its undies and bare-metal preped, etch primed, hifilled and primed the sills and under the scuff plates, rear quaters to sill height,under/behind the rear bar, bottom of the tailgate, wheel arch lips, front apron and under the plenum, ive also straightened a few wobbles in the D/S doors and filled a finger nail sized hole in the P/S door, next up is final prep of the rest of the body for primer/paint.This thing is huge....

[ img ]

[ img ]

Some of you may have noticed the perspex tailgate screen, no sweat ill use the spare glass that came in the deal, i "just" need a new seal, famous last words  a search
of the interwebs drew a blank- damn, now what :x Mark (ozconnection) to the rescue with this beauty. Thanks mate, sorry about the kiss!

Im sure this dude has a stash of hens teeth and unicorns somewhere.

Good to see an update my old friend! :)

Yep, a little stash I have

The car's looking good. Let me know when you're ready with preping and I'll look for those tools you asked for too.

Ok lets play "guess the spec"....
This L6 came with the wagon as part of the deal,I didnt pay any attention to it for
a few days then curiousity got the better of me and i had a bit of a sticky beak...
To say i was pleasantly suprised would be an understatement.
There should be enough clues in this blurry pic to hazard a rough guess at what the
specs of it are.........

[ img ]

As for paint colour, if my past rides are anything to go by, there wont be very much
"factory" anything left on/in it by the time im finished :D

This is a little side project my wife made for me, ive just started training him up
and hopefully the car will be done long before he can drive it

I'm not very good with the Nissan stuff yet. All I notice on that L6 is some trans cooler lines. I'm interested in hearing what I'm looking at though?
