TBH not much has happened, I drove it with an unregistered permit to Bathurst and it ran pretty well, then I got most of the interior put back in and completely lost motivation.

I have a tentative plan to sell my current car, put the Datsun on club rego and try to get by with a fully rego'd motorbike as my primary transport and the Datsun for inclement weather or when I need to move stuff... we will see how that pans out :roll:

I've got a few things on the go at the moment but I really need to get off my ass and just get the thing on club rego so I can move it around!

Do you have any pics of yours? It sounds mint.

OK well I fired up the 260c today and it runs as sweet as it did when I last tried 6 months ago... which is to say - not very well :P HOWEVER, it does run and I think once it warms up it will idle, which is all it really needs to do at this point.

I've fitted the rear door cards and most of the door trim bits, as well as cut the edge of the carpet so I can put the edge trims on.

The new carpet, floor mats and black plastic bits look amazing.

The plasti-dip black paintjob with bird dirt all over it... again, not so much

If the car is fun and reliable to drive then it may get a proper respray, but for the moment I just want it working and on historic rego so I can move it around occasionally.

Tomorrow I'd like to finish most of the interior and *maybe* give the car a quick wash to see what I'm dealing with.

That should be all the car needs before it can go on H plates :D

Well I've washed the car for the first time in a year (that bird sh*t just won't come off!) and it's going for historic plates inspection today. Wish me luck!

Well the car has been on historic plates for about a month and I've done 5 or so days of my 60 so far. It's pretty fun, though gutless as anything. Seems to be fairly reliable though.

Took it to work one day:

And just replaced the radiator hoses as one of them had sprung a leak.

I've currently got some superlow HQ springs which are a direct swap for the front, then I'm planning on resetting the rear leafs and/or lowering blocks to get the back down. Finally some nice(r) wheels and super dark window tint will be the last real cosmetic mods it gets before a proper paint job.

I'd also like to manual convert it and take out one of the mufflers, I just think this thing would be a riot to blast around rowing through the gears, all the while not actually getting to any serious speed! Haha
