Davo,

Yeah I found the worst part of driving on the wrong side of the road being vehicle placement in narrow streets, and getting used to turning on the indicators whenever you were trying to put the wipers on, and vice versa :) But we'll hit some autobarns when you get oever here...

Andrew

Heavy duty radiators for 260z's are USD $476, delivered to Australia.

Thinking of getting one.

Want me to send some lowered King Springs over?
Have you checked to see if it still has the Factory inserts in it?

Actually, might need some 'Superlows' looking at that :?

Lurch,

Haven't actually checked the struts for original inserts no, so I'm just hoping. If not original than they can wait until I section them and get billys.

200BSX,

Typo. I mean to say dampers aka dampeners aka shocks. The original zed inserts are monotube, and a common tight-arse mod is to pull out the insert, dump the lightweight oil and replace it with a heaver weight fluid, such as Automatic Transmission Fluid.

Only got the rear bumper off. What a massive pain in the arse. Have to take out the fuel tank, one hatch strut, and one side of the rear interior to get to all the stupid bolts. Fun tip though, those massive bumpers are mounted on horizonal highly pressurized gas dampers (dumpers). No chop chop springs yet. I did however take it for a spin. :D Found something approaching a short black spur, cept with far less trees. :(

Finally finished some suspension mods. Coil overs with P30 bilsteins, 275lb/in front, 250lb/in rear, bump-steer adjustable tie rod ends.
Here is how it sits now. This is wound all the way down, springs are non-captive by about 20mm. Soon as I get it on even ground I'll work out how it sits and adjust things accordingly. The engine is unhappy after being sitting for 9 months. Might need some TLC somewhere.

Looks a bit better. Less 4wd like. :) Can't wait to see how it actually handles though.

Thanks guys. Yeah I'm still kicking. Keen to get this thing driving so I can carry on with saving for the wheels/tyres/flares/brakes. :)

Getting these:

They're 15x10, and suit a common (like $25 second-hand cheap) slick here used in Formula Atlantic. Set of slicks for ~$100, hard to argue with.

Also collecting brake parts:

Damn man, those brakes are huge.... Sure you'll be able to get them up to temperature
What engine are you going to run? L series and forced induction or V8, considering you are in the land of the bent 8?

Engine conversion is a time-consuming job, given the rate at which I make progress. Which is somewhere between fuckall and none.
Eventual pipe-dream is a VK56DE with a little bit of life breathed into it. Good enough for the FIA GT-R GT1 car (and 600hp).

Brakes will come up to temp I'm sure, even the ole L28E should be able to get the car going fast enough to pump some heat into them. :D
