Sing out when you need a hand Lurch.
Or make use of the facilities, or require something fabbed/designed/beer drunk/SU's fitted :D

Oh and great job by Dave, that's what makes the datsun community so great.

Ahh, my beautiful crate - a combination of old, used skirting boards, the remains of the crate my lathe came in, and offcuts from the new kitchen cupboard doors I've been making. All combined with a selection of random screws, bolts, coachscrews, bits of rope and plenty of woodglue to hold it all together

The courier was impressed :hail:

I believe the courier went in for his Hernia operation this week, after trying to move it...

Bahahahah  !!

I've just cut down a pallet and bolted the gearbox to the pallet and used some nylon strapping to hold it onto the pallet. light timber ofcourse not that heavy wood. does the job.

+ its custom sizing = less postage cost!

Awesome Lurch, assuming I'm invited I'll be there!

+1 vote for the 3.0 twin-cam rb hybrid.

Sure, an sr may have less weight, but also have less torque, which is something you want on the track I presume.

As for room, well - even with the rb straight six there is still more room in that engine bay than you could ever require. You could make things real easy for yourself with a single turbo conversion.

People are doing silly things with the 3.0 bottom ends these days, with balancing and bearing selection they can (apparently) be made to rev as well as the 2.6. As well as that there are at least 2 places that are selling pre-made 3.0 bottom ends, with everything pre drilled/machined/modified to fit the rb twin-cam heads, as well as forged and balanced and torque-plate honed etc.

(I'm currently collecting bits and peices to put an rb30dett into my r32).

If ever there was something that looked like cheap, reliable hp, that would have to be it.

You have it in one mate
Although I find it hard to believe it's possible to rev a RB30 bottom end to 9500rpm like you can with the RB26...

Any links to the RB30 block conversion to run the DOHC head? (either RB25 or RB26...)
