Yes the sickness is still here, I have done and done it again

Just got a new car

She is all primered, very straight, no head or efi gear.
Bonnet is already silver with black bonnet vents.

There is some bits that do need attention, but she will do

As soon as I work out where I am going to park number 5 datsun  I will take some more photo's

Hey Rick How much was it?

Hope there's not bog and rust hiding under the primer.

I'd take a magnet to the doglegs for a start. They always seem to rust there.

What year is it? Does the chassis number start with GS30 or GS31 ?

Has it got badges?

I''ve seen a yellow Farilady Z (1978 2+2) getting around.

So how many datsuns have you got now that you cant drive? :P

I can drive 3

2 arn't driveable.

Yes has all badges.

GS30 030863

1975 ON SEAT BELT

Don't know what year it is, other than that as it only has the Japaneese ID tag, no Australian tag fitted.

It was lots cheaper than what this owner wants for their one.

Item number: 4578728937

$500.00 is what I paid, for mine.

I have the option to take the exhaust system, front windscreen (as mine has one chip) of another one, and a spare L28 is also available.

Craig, did you get the wreck from your skyline??

Drive line would be sweet for my Z :P

Haha, I got a better deal! I may have to rob some parts off your parts car when you get it  Its not the one I looked at then, It had a L28E.

And Craigs skyline is getting fixed! So no driveline for you!

The Assessor talked the Smash repairers quote down just enough for it not to be a financial write off, so they are repairing it.....

....but they cant find the parts. I'm gonna tell them to import them from Japan if they cant find any second hand locally. Will probably end up costing more than if thye had just written the car off in the first place.

I'm getting a loan car off them on Monday.

Umm is yours a fairlady??

but yes you did get a good deal, mine already has the efi puter and loom.

Might be spending too much time at wreckers for a while.

L20B efi turbos are still out there.

Hmmm

P.S. they are going to battle finding the bits for the skyline Craig.

Hey Rick,

Take all the bits you can get your hands on, even if you have to stick the engine in the middle of the lounge room, throw a piece of chipboard and table cloth over it and pretend its a coffee table. :)

People selling Z parts seem to think they are worth a fortune.

Grab the front windscreen. I know a guy in South Africa you can sell it to.
I'll give you his email adress if you are interested.

Fairlady Z / 260Z the pretty much the same. The "Fairlady Z" in the place if the 260Z badge is pretty cool looking because its different.

If its a Fairlady Z-L thats a bonus. The ZL is the luxury model that had Air con, electric windows and mirrors.

The Yellow one i've seen around has a L28 EFI.

I could get you a L20ET (turbo) motor if you want one.

Oh yeah. The sickness must be catching....

...I just bought a 240K auto sedan for $650. 6 months rego. When I was filling out the transfer papers I realised it had a L28.

Gotta get my tools down to the new place and give it a tune up.

Yes I will collect all parts I can.
Hense why I might be going to see if I can get the other 2+2 I saw on the way home aswell.

No power windows, it did have air con.

My windscreen has a chip, so I kinda need the other one sorry.

How much for the L20ET :?:  :?:  :?: I have seen them go quite cheap, I will need the factory puter aswell yer???

Re: the L20et's

I looked at a R30 skyline for sale with a L20ET, but it was way too much work, had bent valves aparently, unlicenced, brakes had been removed.

Anyway after talking to the old guy for a bit, he could tell I was interested in old nissans/datsuns, so we had a look at his daily driver. A Nissan Laurel with a strong L28E. Very much a sleeper.

He also had about 5 complete L20ET's laying around the garage, back yard and shed, and various other parts like heads, diffs etc.

Second guy i've heard of whos wife had had enought of the car bits and left him.

I've still got the sickness, 240z number 2:
