Being a new member first I'd like to say G'day.
I have been rebuilding a 1600 wagon for ages now due to many things holding me back and need to keep things rolling.
Since completely stripping the car I cannot work out how to refit the bars.
Alternatively has anyone fitted gas struts to hold the tailgate open?
Can someone please help.

G'day back
Here is an extract from the 510 FSM showing tailgate stuff.
As you can see, "installation of the tailgate is the reversal of the procedure given for removal".
Don't you hate it when they say that?

Hey Nissanman, Thanks for that.
Yeah, its pretty straightforward when they mention installation is the opposite of removal,,,, except when you pretty much forgot the process of removal.
I'll get into it next as I am in the stage of fitting the interior roof lining.
Cheers!

Did it with the aid of a F%^&ing big screwdriver and similar sized shifting spanner.

It's definitely a two person job.

Apart from that I cant think of any other way to describe how to do this, but, if you were in Canberra could show you.
