I ported the head out yesterday with a die grinder. Note that you don't want a super smooth finish in the inlet ports. The roughness will help with fuel atomisation. The inlets were originally 1.25" but are now 1.5" to match the SSS twin carb manifold. I sprayed paint down the runners, die ground the diameters to match then smoothed out the radiuses everywhere. Pleased :).
One done, one not.

Down two of the runners.

Nice job with the mod there, not too shabby. I'm interested to know how much difference you notice.

I'll not be able to tell anything about the ports as I'm modding the whole thing together (carbs, head exhaust etc).
But I'm pretty certain that matching the ports will make it work much better than having a 1.5" inlet runner going to a 1.25" inlet port through!

Some cosmetic stuff.
I picked up some cheap wing mirrors in the same style as the OEM 200B wing mirrors. They are just cheap ones from Singapore, so they aren't perfect but they'll until I can pick up some better ones.

Polished some of my wheels today (and yesterday).
Hand polished most and used a scotchbrite pad on a air dremel to do the spokes.
One down! Going to replace the rusted nuts/bolts with stainless ones.
Before and after on the 15x7.5 -7s.

With the fronts in shot as well :).

I know girls from Langwarren that couldn't polish that good.

It's not perfect up close but it's pretty good. No one will see the wheels from closer than a few meters anyways so it's ok :).
I'll coat them in something like zoop seal so they don't need another polish for 5 or 10 years and I'll be cheering :).

I've got 3 of them ready to go on now. I've got a pair of tyres for the rears so that's sorted. Just got to polish up the last wheel.
I've got new nuts and bolts for all 4 wheels now as well.

Got my extractors today, test fit is all good :).
Now to cut off the EGR pipe thingo and weld the hole up, then paint them and heat wrap them.
When the time comes I'll be scratch building the exhaust from 2" stainless steel.

I polished and generally cleaned up the first wheel from a set of Impul Pro Mesh today as well.
I probably won't use this set, so I'll probably sell it but either way I'm pleased with how it came out.
