I doubt any shop would actually do it. Most people shy away from the idea. Its easy as to do, i did mine without any help or knowledge on what i was actually doing. Just look at a few pics to get the idea and away you go.

how many people actually drive daily with a welded diff on the roads? would cause some major creaking at when turning etc wouldnt it? i was considering it for my kb10 but its not going to be a race car

big cons are scrubbing wheels, stress on axles and welds, additional stresses on diff and esp in a bluey, the trailing arm mounts, noticeable and illegal.

pros are predictability, dry traction, cheaper than a lsd, hanging it out in the wet, twin wheel burnouts

everyone has their opinion regarding welding and has been discussed at length on this forum and every other rwd vehicle forum around

i have not done it but have contemplated it so i cant judge how good/bad it is.

I think he mean on a 4x4 like an air locker or something? Now that would be cool as on a quick stret car.

well an auto diff lock is a computer controlled mechanism which automatically senses when you are turning or what not and unlocks it so that the wheels which are travelling at the same speed (but different radius - hence the excessive tyre wear), do not scrub as much etc etc. a manual diff locker is something similar, but you control and you must change it - kinda like the detroit locker. i was wondering if there is something similar for the H145-h160
