Well I've got my gauges all mounted and what not, but I need a brass adaptor to thread into where the existing oil pressure switch was.
Can anyone advise of the size thread this is so I don't have to try out every adaptor?

ok so it's all fitted up now.
I found out the J15 block uses a 1/8" BSP (gas) thread, and the Speco guages come with a 1/8" NPT thread.
I got the guys at my local Pirtek to help and they hooked me up with a double ended female nut (like a long barrel nut) with 1/8" BSP at one end and 1/8" NPT at the other.
My Speco guage threads into the 1/8" NPT side and another adaptor (like a male 1/8" BSP adaptor) connected the female barrel nut to the block.

All in all, Pirtek charged me $3.85 including the parts, a roll of teflon tape.

Does anyone know of an oil pressure/temp adaptor unit like this

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/OIL-PRESSURE-OIL ... 240%3A1318

That suits an L series? Is there another make like ford or mazda etc that fits? Have guages for oil pressure/temp but trying to figure out where/how to plug them into the system.

Not dure on that one, but a SR20, CA18, RB25 sandwich adaptor will fit L series engines

Thanks guys,

looked at the Speco website, would explain why the ford oil filter i had lying around fitted the L series.
