Hi there

Just looking at the finer points of what is needed to get my L24e+t project off the ground.

Im needing a dump flange made for the T3/T4, internal wategate, im unsure but if a 2.5 inch hole saw can cut through 15mm steel plate thats grate!??? any ideas here?

Im also needing someone to weld a few simple bends onto the back of it, with a flange at the end

I have been in contact with some of the exhaust shops and they charge an absolute bomb, like $380 bucks for a 2.5 pressbent system an done muffler... in melb i can get that for $240 to $260.

So anyone out there who can weld, looking for some cash work??

Hey mate,

For starters, it would greatly help everyone if you added where you are, and what major city your closest to (Melbourne?)

Not sure if this will fit your own clearances,

Then theres these flanges to make your own pipe,

And this type of block off flange are everywhere,

Hope that helps you out.

Chris

Oh and if you want to make your own that is also a possibility.

Use a 2.5" and a 1.5" holesaw to cut the holes.. but you would HAVE to do it in a drill press.

Could be fiddly...

T3/T4 dont have the same flange as a T25/T28 or the GT garret turbos do they??

cheers for the reply!

i have seen each if those pages before.... the thing is the flange is an older t3 style, like FJ20 and L28et, or even Z18et

i catually found a cad pic of it

a place in new zealand can get one to me $40 delivered

Im sure a place here in canberra/QBN can do it cheaper... its just a bit of metal with holes!

Im in Canberra, currently campbell, but moving soon

making my own is a possibility, but dont have a drill press, and 2.5 inch holesaws are $65 at bunnings!

Hey mate, I got one (dump flange for fj20 T3) made at acuform in hume, cost about $40 IIRC with me just supplying a gasket to copy off. Go see them, they should have it on file now.
cheers,
Ty
