Good to hear it was recovered with not to much missing. Dont get me wrong but it goes to show crooks are dumb, like you think they would strip the whole car So glad for the owner crooks are dumb in that regard.

I'm not so sure, it would be pretty hard to offload an engine or those wheels when there is only one engine with that number and very few of those wheels to fit a 1200. Things like gauges and stereo are hard to trace so easy for theives to offload. Plus I would suggest they probably only stole it to joyride, and taking a few easy to get and easy to sell bits was a bonus for them.

Yeah i hear you but re stamping an engine or just using all internals and head etc with another block aint rocket science, but yeah joyridin sounds likely. They got it back quick which was good.

without claiming to be an expert in the fencing of stolen car parts, things like cylinder heads, turbos, intercoolers, and ESPECIALLY aftermarket wheels are all basically like currency - difficult to trace and easily hocked off. People are not very discriminating about stuff when they are getting a really good bargain.

So yeah, very lucky to recover the car with *only* that stuff missing (although terrible to have the car stolen in the first place!).
