Hi all,

Currently been offered an R30 that i probably will be gutting for parts

Its a hatch back, stock L24e

Im stripping the manual conversion gear from it, and a few steering bits like lower control arms andstuff
(need to see if i can get the power steerring box recoed, as mine has so much play in it its not funny)

But i havent bought it yet, just seeing if theres any interest, as the bits from these are usually pretty sought after for the stanza/1600/200b/ all you fellas

im not looking at making money, just to recover costs of purchase and towing (and the hrs of removing the bits!!!)

If theres enough interest i will go ahead and get it towed to here (canberra)

Im currently housed in deakin, so thats fairly central to the rest of the place i guess??

post away fellas

Well the Army now owns my left leg, so i guess I'll swap you yours for the struts??? :D

The rear has a 3.9 R180 for your info ( i guess you know that anyways)

the rear calipers and brackets and bits are going to a mates C210 in brissy,
apart from that I guess $100 for the diff, cv's/axles and struts/springs etc is reasonable??

for the front strutters, $50.... (except the lower control arms... they getting attacked by racespec)

now that this thing will be flat on its guts I sure hope the flatbed towtruck can drag it up off the ground!!

a few guys in syd have dibs on the bumpers, panels and the block, im keeping the entire 5 speed conversion and LCA's and prob the front lights, interior switches, radiator, intake plenum, steering gear (box and arms etc)

anyone need aircon?? seats?

Those flatbeds generally have pretty good winches, will have no trouble.

btw, towing bill from sydney to canberra will probably be more than the car is worth. My mate recently picked up a running registered r30 hatch for $50 here in canberra.

Just asking the locals,
Whats the deal with scrap these days? Will someone come and collect shells and give you money? or is it considered free pickup?

any actual places to call up and ask?

You're right there bob... Considering we get a lot of wrecks in at work that can't be pushed (ie all wheels f'd off their heads) you should have no drama.
