Hey guys been looking for a racing seat for the y and a mate of mine has offered me the old sparco out of his hq race car for $100. Its got a couple of tears in it so just wondering if anyone has had to have there's repaired/re-trimed before and where they got it done? Im thinking if its only going to cost me a couple of hundred to do it will be a better option than spending the $600+ for a new one?

Looks in good condish man, I know of a place in Dandy behind the train station, I'm sure they would be able to do it but wouldn't know about cost involved.

one thing that would alter cost would be if the seat has just a front cover and bare back or fully trimmed front and back.

i think you should try other places

ive seen far worse be fixed for less

try and find a bloke who will fix it for cash in hand

for just the entry wing you will just need about $40 of trim, glue, foam of equal density from clarke rubber and a sewing machine.

a rull retrim of the seat including re-embroidery of the sparco symbol would be about $600

but i'd look just to repair the entry wing and 2 new panels.

the seat is in very good nick judging fromthe photos, for $200 it could be fixed as good as new in my opinion

hell if your mum is good with a sewing machine you can even do it yourself!
