Hey fellas,

I was wondering, since i'm going to have a harness fitted in my rally car, does Vicroads still require a normal seatbelt?
Naturally I have a rollcage fitted (if this effects anything).

It depends. My rally partner told me when he took his car for rego that the Vicroads inspector told him he wanted the original lap sash belts fitted - despite having the harnesses. He took the car to get a RWC, and the tester said no need to fit the lap sashes for the RWC. He took the car and the RWC back to Vicroads and got the car registered, no problems.

How it all works if you want to go the Club rego, Rally plates, or Historic rego routes would be interesting to find out.
