I need to do pull the engine and box out of my parts car and cant afford to buy one. So if anyone has one lying around and dosent mind lending it out would be apreciated. Happy to pick up however dont want to travel half way across the state for it im located in doncaster in the eastern suburb, and will reward with some beer.

How long will you require it for, and when? You can borrow mine in a couple of weeks if you can pick it up since at the moment I have no way of delivering it.

I know you said you can't afford one, but I figured I'd let you know the Supercrap has 'em for about $99-$129. And they will more than up to the task of lifting your engine.

Failing that, I can't help you.

Kennards!

I hired one to take the good old L18 out of the B and it's capable of pulling the whole front end up, I think we paid close to $150 and got a deposit back, forgot the actual cost but I think it was like $80 for the whole day!

the guy at kennards also loaded it onto the ute
look up their site....

Ahhhh, my bad, I had engine stands in my head, not cranes.

You got a sturdy overhead beam in your shed? Could always grab yourself a block and tackle and attach it to the roof? I've done it a few times without issue. An L series ain't that heavy and an average steel beam should support it no worries.

Given that it was in a catalogue it was probably on sale... though $149 still sound a little too cheap for TT.
