being a bit of a purist I would have liked to have seen it kept as a carby 6....

if u want a quick turbo car just buy a r33....theyre cheap

still congrats on a job well done....do u have any pics of the buildup?

this is the build up...

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/547037....

the car needed a lot of TLC and the original owner/modifier didn't do a very good job, so i did the best i could with what i had.....

it was a carbied 6 when i first got it , stayed like that for 8 years , till the l28 in in started giving me grief. and i was sick of going thru heads.... plus, L series 6's are starting hard to get. so i gave it a update, but kept the original flavor of the race 6 cyl...:)

I was totally unaware we had to state such things in the first post. I'll make note of that. Awesome car dude. Looks like you've put in the hard yards and they've paid off. Love the colour it suits it a lot. And Socrates, check out the build, he bought it already modified with a different engine and sourcing a G7 would be harder than sourcing a whole car i'd recon.

I don't understand why people are complaining. If the car was already molested when you got it, molest it more if you like. From what I can see you have done the conversion well and neatly. People buy matching number granny-spec 1600s on here, hack out the front so that they can fit their SR20 and intercooler and nobody bats an eyelid.

Personally I would try and find some wheels that suit the era of the car (maybe Superlites?) and just keep it looking old school. Are you going to the All Jap Day this Sunday? If you are, I'd love to see this, I'll be in my green 200B.

People are stating their opinions politely while still recognising the hard work the owner put in to the car. I didn't realise we had to love every car that someone posted up

Well said Anth
I personally like the car. Any car that has been modified can alwyas be returned to stock anyway. All you need is a bit of skill some sheet metal a grinder and a welder. So who gives a rats ass. It's his car let him have fun in it. In the state that this shell was in he's done a farkin top job.

Hey Pete (its Luke)! Yeah while not stock, it is a very nice car; seeing it in person i can atest to the work he has put into this Prince and a fine job of it he has done! Really who cares about stock unless your an investment owner, who wraps the car up & never uses it for what it was intended for (what a waste really)! Atleast this way he can have a life times worth of fun, in a very unique car, that most would give their left nut for, modded or not! Now that is what owning cool cars is all about, having fun driving them!

I think the mods and work seem awesome but the styling is just too ricey, its not about going stock thats too hard for many
but working with what you have and using old style guages and wheels for starters to keep the soul of the era intact otherwise
it dates too quickly. A unique build regardless.

i think it looks great didnt like the big back wheels i think it looked a bit to much. There used to be a stock white one on the boulavard in ivanhoe.

Yeah Ive seen it at the haridressers in Pascoe Vale also, old dude driving this one and very proud.

Another one in Essendon airport was there every weekend taking flying lessons I think.
That one was lowered to the max with fat 13s, a cage, harness and other racing livery.
It was a cheap looking red paint job, older style restorations rather than full.

Great build. The very first photo kind of reminded me of a Fiat 124-just the angle!
RB20 is an awesome little motor.
Well done and you're obviously enjoying it, and that's what it's all about.
