the car wont start by the ignition
Will it start at all? There will be a plug that plugs into the auto, two of the wires on that go to the starter motor. They plug into the auto so that the car will only start when it's not in gear. You'll need to bridge these two wires so that the circuit will be completed, I had to when I did the same conversion on my 200B.

Nice car by the way, looks great

yeah it starts but when you do the old screwdriver trick ill try them wires tommorow what else did you have to do when you did the conversion

Obviously swap the pedal box, gearbox etc over and a fit a master a slave cylinder for the clutch. I'm not sure if the same applies to a Stanza but you will need to modify your gearbox crossmember so that it will bolt up, this will make sense when you try to fit it up and the holes won't line up. And you'll need a manual tailshaft too.

has the clutch been bleed properly?
possible you have the wrong throw out bearing in there.there 3 types

did he give you the clutch and throw out bearring from the same car?

reverse lights- theres 2 0r 3 switches on your gearbox with 2 wires comming off each one,and there should be 2 wires (red with black tracers, from memory) that are the reverse light wires(near the gearbox) you need to join them to one of the switches.put it in reverse and try hooking those wires to each switch till the reverse lights come on.

maybe but i will have troubles finding one,may be easier to weld something on to yours to make it longer or chop it down to get it shorter.when the wreckers gave you the bits was it all of the same car?
