You may be able to massage the inner guard with a rubber mallet and have it not show on the outside. I'm looking at doing this on my 200B to fit wider wheels so it may work on the 240K. It also depends on what offset wheels you wish to run. There are means and methods around these issues, rolling the lip of the guard is a good idea too, it gives you an extra 10mm or so of space.
