hey my names brad i just joined and I thought Id put up some pictures of my datsuns and tell you a little bit about them.Ive been a datsun lover ever since i first got my license and bought my first datto.

I currently own two datsun 120y's:

-one Aqua Two Door Sedan which is my "project car"
[ img ]
-its pretty shagged at the moment with one window not working and the dash having a gaping hole in it where somebody put a stereo in it. there are also a couple of rust spots and what not but thats to be expected.
-The engine doesnt enjoy starting either which is a bit of a problem

-the brakes which did not work when i first bought the car and now sort of work after i bled the brakes

my plans are to drop a larger engine in this car Im thinking CA or SR20 but im not sure yet this is a long way off as I currently have very little money.

-My other 120y is my baby it was my first car and is a brown four door sedan with a white vinyl roof and it is because of this car that I will forever be in love with datsuns.

I didnt have the heart to rip out her guts and give her a new engine thus the reason behind my second datsun

shes fairly stock at the moment but in decent working order the interior is fairly tidy.

the body has a few rust spots but thats to be expected on a 120y but i hope to get the sorted out soon.
i also hope to put extractors (if any1 can tell me wat kind would fit tahtd be great) on it
a Ram flo air filter to help with the struggle it goes through up hills
but other than that i hope to leave it fairly stock and orginal

I like the stripe. Very 70's. Those 2 door sedans are pretty rare. Look after it

IF you were to do anything with the poo brown one, it should be to rip off the vinyl from the roof and just paint the roof white. Save yourself a lot of heartache and hard work fixing up any rust that develops under it. My Y was nearly dead, no thanks to the vinyl roof.

If you're going to paint it black make sure you put some white stripes on the roof or paint it white in areas not visible from the front or sides, unless you can't afford a microwave, then paint the roof black and stick some vege's in some foil and sit them on the dash and parcel shelf...
