Hi,

I have viewed this site for many years but only recently brought (another) 1600 and joined.

Can anyone tell me how much I can lower my 1600 (below standard ride height) without resulting in too much -'ve chambe r / toe out on the rear?

I can sort the front end out for now and am going to fit a new rear crossmember or modify the existing one some time down the track. I figure I will try 1" below standard first and see how that goes.

Thanks for your help.

I think you need to specify how much -'ve chamber is to much. ie -3 deg?

It's just a street car with 195/60 R14 tyres (about the same dia as the standard wheel). I am thinking anything more than neg 1 deg camber would be too much but I am more worried about the toe out. Thanks.

try and keep the sill panels level with the ground.
No use lowering it too much if the front is pointing up at the sky...

Slot the rear cross member then you can adjust out the excessive camber and toe
