Hello all,

I recently acquired this centre console out of a 240K. I am looking at fitting it into my 200B however there are lots of 'holes' and spaces in the console and I am not sure what is supposed to be in them. Here is a picture of what I have:

Now, at the very front of the console, I can see the rectangle with the small holes on each side where the original radio would have been. Just above this is another rectangle, what filled this hole?

In the middle of the console there is the hole where the gear lever would have poked through. In front of this is one small rectangle that looks like it was there from factory, and then another small one next to it that I think has been cut at some point. Then behind the gear lever hole is another squarer rectangle. Does anybody know what filled these holes?

I am keen to know as if it is something funky or useful I would like to include these in my setup. If not I can use them for something else. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and lastly, I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but it was in a 240K coupe'.

Its an early model console from the K that had the square dash vents.

Blanking plate.

Demister or hazards. Don't remember exactly

Yep. not factory.

Usually another blanking plate. This is where the power window switch panel would go for K's with power windows.

Thank you very much for that, Mr Camouflage. Do you have a photo of the later centre console in your archives?

So basically, the holes aren't filled with anything that I'm likely to need. All I need to do now is decide what to put in them instead. The ones just in front of the gear lever hole aren't a problem as I will have to enlarge this hole to suit my gear lever position. Just in passing, this has couple of other cracks so I won't be ruining a mint console.

Type the item# into the ebay search: 120557087309
