I now have this in my shed.

Needs some work, hence why I got it cheap.

Has the U20, Mikuni's, 5 spd etc so all the good stuff is there.

The head is now off and on its way to Lou Mondello in Vic to sort out.

I need to rebuild the brakes front and rear, new master cylinders for brakes and clutch, replace fuel lines, filters etc.

Will be stripping tyres off wheels and getting rims repainted then I'll polish them up.

Body is great. No rust at all. All rust proofed etc from years ago.

Rubbers are bit tatty but its not going to be a show car.

Will come good with a polish of everything.

Can't wait to drive it.

Yeah sure will.

Brakes came off last night. Dirty jolly rear drums! Horrible things.

Yes over all its in good condition. Just had some dodgey hands on it before I got it. Things like missing lash caps in the head! Yes thats right. No 1 Ex had NO lash cap as whoever apparently did the timing chain must have some how lost it and decided to cover up his blunder by screwing the rocker adjuster up as high as it would go. The rocker was contatcing the valve head directly! Another rocker had completely popped off and was sitting in the head as the adjusting nut was not tightened and it rattle loose.

Oh, I found the missing lash cap when I removed the head. It was sitting behind the RH chain tentioner.

Looks like a good starting point

Try 311s.org for some useful info, including lists of parts that interchange with other (not-so-expensive) non-fairlady bits.

You can get heaps of stuff for them in the US, there's a number of "specialists" that deal in roadster parts - these are also listed at 311s.org.
