Ok need new 240z shock Inserts for my struts. Just used Gabriel gas shocks and they lasted ok. But would like something but better, not adjustable, just so I could go little lower maybe. Any one with a shock book out there to help out?

I haven't got heaps of $$$ so budget end would be good. Using 250lb springs now too. The cheap gas were well suited to 195lb springs, possibly little more- unlikely to 250lb.
Found couple of viable options for some decent basic shocks

Gabriel ultra gas shocks $150
Kyb gr2 gas shocks $228 locally or $80 a pair us but $120 shipping

Or use the same basic rubbish Gabriel gas ones that lasted 3 years with low abusive driving for $50 lol

I've got a Monroe Cattledog.
What exactly do you need to know?

Oil filled may be better than gas. Either way, need new inserts now. Cheers for the help with catalog

Monroe list Gas Pressurized for front, LE20010 and rear, LE20959.
They would still be OK to use with a lowered suspension.
However my cattledog is 2005, their online cattledog doesn't list the 240Z anymore :(

Thanks Graeme, yeah that's why I asked about a book, the online world doesn't have all the answers- suprising when it's supposed to be full of info not porn- but that can be good too lol.

Hey mate.... Check with Baz at Datsport regarding cheap KYB shocks. I managed to pick up some old stock he had lying around for cheap. They were for a 1600 though, not sure if he'd a pair for Z struts.
