Hey mate,

I used a few methods:

1. Paint scraper
2. Citrus solvent
3. Flat blade screwdriver
4. Heat gun

All varying degrees of success, all in all a lot of hard work :)

You are correct, you cannot sandblast it.

Cheers,

Trent

Well, I stripped all that shite off years ago and I used a scraper and hammer to do it.
You might try using dry ice to remove it, I've heard that is very effective
After I got the most of it off, I used a scourer soaked in kerosine to dissolve the remains.
A real crappy job but once done you will be back to nice clean metal and you will be able to treat any rust that has become visible :)

Body Shutz.
As long as the rust, if any, is properly treated, Body Shutz should be dandy.
I personally used a Tropical Strength brush on coating which was really a pain to do.
I'm sure technology has moved on from there :)

Hey mate,

Once I took it off my car:
- Sand blasted
- Seam Welded
- Etch primed
- Seam sealer
- Re-coated, will need to find out exactly what it was coated with :)

Cheers,

Trent

hey sand blasting will remove almost anything, sealer tar undercoat, i had mine sandblasted it was all removed, then i just primed coated with gravitex and direct gloss over the top

it cost me $600 to get it blasted and primed, only problem is you have to give them just the shell
