G'days peeps,

I've found this on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/320876413667 ... 1438.l2649

Any experience with this conversion? Any thoughts?

I've been hunting for an electronic dizy and I'm coming up dry so I'm thinking of purchasing one of these. "Brand new" always sounds good 8) .

What dizzy do you have now ?

You would be better using a Bosch GT40R coil and one of these : http://www.pertronix.com/prod/ig/ignitor/default.aspx

Upgrade your existing points to that

Actually it looks like your ebay link uses that pertronix ignitor inside it anyway.

The ignitor looks interesting. I'm running a Series 2 Bluebird Dissy. Is anyone using the ignitor?

the best electronic dissy I've seen is the 123 out of europe, they have selectable curves, and some versions you can tune on the go with a PC. The concourse purists love them as the look 100% original from the outside. Unfortunately they don't supply Japanese cars, only european.

What about this listing on Ebay:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/POINTS-DISTR ... 2eb843e434

Geepers! For the price they're asking for the new on with smelly points set up, you can get most of the way to paying for the 'you beaut'! coil AND the 'brand new' dizy with the ignitor. MMMM I know which one I'd rather buy.

I have Pertronix Ignitors for my L16 Hitache single point dizzys.
I love them and you use the ballast resisitor and stock coil or a after market low ohm coil but add another ballast resisitor to keep the current under 4 amps as they can pop.

Hot Spark ignitions is a Chinese clone of the Petronix.

what 610citly limits posted look good but remeber id you guys have specific base mounts your you L motor you still might need a different one to get to to clock right for your motor.

Example in the US the L16 base timming does not work with a later L20 base or timming plate. So make sure you can get the different bases or timming plkates for this dizzy But yes they will fir all L motors
