I have issues with the driver's door window on my stanza. it feels like there's a bolt or two that needs tightening in the mechanism. Problem is, I have absolutely no idea how to get the lining off the door! Even with the attachments on the inside of the door taken off thee seems to be no easy way to take it off. I'm sure someone's done this before... can they tell me how? i have to put the lining back on when i'm done too.

Remove the interior door release handle backing only , arm rest, window winder handle. Prise off the trim clips using something flat and thin, keep as close to the pins as possible. When all pins are free ,pull door trim away from door , clearing the door handle. Then LIFT the door trim straight upwards to free the top of trim from the door frame.

The plastic thing around the door handle is held in place by a single phillips head screw. You will see what the pins look like once you have the trim off.

yeah, that's the prob... is there some way I'm sposed to pull to get the trim off? it's secured to the door at the bottom and sides by something or other, which I can't see. are they the clips baz was talking about? should I just stick a pocket knife blade up behind the trim and clip them off?

there is a clip behind the handle that you should be able to pop off with a screwdriver.

it is sorta shaped like a horse shoe so one end is round and the other end has 2 points, push it off from one of the points and you should be right

and as for getting the door trim off, stick a screwdriver behind it and lever it off from close to the clips.
