Contact Jaycar and they might be able to send you a copy of the programming instructions.
From the images they supply it looks like there is now an on board port for PC based programming: -

I built one of the first generation of these years ago, it used a numeric keypad to input the values.
The current generation is quite different, I'm sure it will intercept the existing wiring OK and do the required retard on boost.

I also have a Deltamax Digital Ignition Controller which is a very smart device with dual map capability for say LPG and Gasoline.

I was going to use it on one of my conversions but now I think I'll use the Haltech E6X [shared with another vehicle  ].
Unfortunately, it appears that they are no longer in business: -

You might consider picking up a used Haltech IG4 or IG5 Ignition only ECU.

They turn up on ebay now and then.

As a matter of fact, any used programmable ECU should be good for you since unless it is very old, it should do both fuel and ignition.

The Jaycar Catalogue has a little more information on the KC-5542 Programmable HEI: -

I had a look at the Jaycar kits a few years ago but didn't buy one because they had no provision for boost retard. The new one above doesn't mention it either, or any other form of MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) sensing. I'd rather not just rely on the knock sensor to back off timing advance under boost. Still sounds good for an atmo engine, though.

The DeltaMax unit looks good. I would have loved one of those but now I have a Megasquirt ECU and 4 coils.
