Hello all,

I've purchased t3 control arms which came with ball joints,
The new ball joint stud is larger in diam than the one previosly fitted, so I cant get it through the tapered hole on the 'knuckle'? ( i think thats what its called, see pic)
Not to mention it was near impossible to get the old balljoint off as I had to bash the stud on a rock as it was that snug, so slightly bigger stud on the new ball joint isnt going to snug in.
It's a 1968 model so im thinking it might be slightly different?? Will a later model 'knuckle' hole suit the 510 balljoint I was supplied??
Also, im using 240k struts

Please help as running out of time for datnats haha

Cheers

You will probably need to upgrade to late model 70-72 steering arms or alternatively find some new early ball joints...

I think I have a pair of the early BJs.
But as Nick said, it would be wiser to use the later knuckles and BJs as supplied with the new LCAs you have.
Oh, a big rock is one way to remove ball joints, this is another way: -
