Hey mate, I'm upgrading the diff in my 1600 to an r180 LSD out of a subi wrx sti. This is an overkill for my car as I'm only running a worked l18 but the old r160 died under the pressure.
Another option for you is too look for an r160 subi LSD, try japos donks in wodonga as their a specialist subi wrecker.
With the subi upgrade you will need to modify the output shafts to suit the datto shafts and a set of 1600 flanged half shafts. There are a few posts in the driveline section on exactly what to do.
If you want any parts for your existing diff to get it going let me know because I have a few diffs in bits and I'm only at wagga. Let me know.

MR30 skyline hatch cv-jointed R180 rear ends are virtually a bolt in job apparently.

Gives you disk brake, LSD and upgrade to R200 options if you're interested in that

widens track by 30mm or so

you will need the diff stubs from the R180 from memory and these then bolt the std uni joint flanges...
