Thanks heaps Doug, I went and picked up the hose yesterday and fitted without any issues.

Here's a pic of the standard 180b hose that I hacked up and the new one.

Got a fair bit of work done over the last 3 or so weeks.
Picked up the ecu yesterday and attempted to turn it over with no luck.
After 2 hours or scratching my head I worked out there was power to the injectors. It's pretty difficult because there is almost no wiring diagrams for a non turbo and the looms are different.
But anyhow, I sorted out power to the injectors this arvo but still wouldn't start. The old man came and had a look with me and found the fuel pump was wired the wrong way. Swapped that over and she ran first go.
Now I need to start tidying up - soldering, cable tires, conduit, tighten everything.
I grabbed a thermo fan switch the other day so hat will need to go in.
Exhaust man should be here on the weekend and he will prob take a few days.
Engineer reckons he will come on Saturday as well (he has been a no show for our last appointment and never returns my calls and voicemail. Really thinking I should find someone else).

Now for the pics

Engineer came this morning and had a look over the car. Went very well, I have to change the 4 gearbox cross member bolts to high tensile ones and clean up some of the rust.
Other than that he was pretty happy with the job I've done.
Also the car won't need to go to the EPA for emissions as I have the standard air box, carbon canister and ecu.

Oh my, it's been almost 2 months since my last update.
Sadly the 180b is still not on the road. I was on call for like 3 weeks and have been in NZ all this month (leaving next Saturday, man I can't wait to split this joint!)

Before I left I did manage to finish off the brakes. 200b struts, king springs and hilux callipers.
It was pretty stiff at the front so I'm not really confident I'm going to be happy with the comfort level. But I guess I'll see once it's on the road.
Also cut back a bit of rust and bogged it up. I'll cut it out completely when I'm ready to paint.

The old man was nice enough to take it down and get the exhaust done for me last week (I'm pretty sure he just wanted his garage back).
Standard manifold and front pipe, cat, 2 1/4 inch piping and a reasonably quite muffler. Apparently it all went well.
