It's not by any means finished, but I will be running my Fairlady, RSP-310, in this weekends South Australian Bay To Birdwood Classic Rally, 29/9 :D
No roof, no windscreen, but lots of enthusiasm :) :) :)

She runs well, those SU's sound just dandy under acceleration
So folks, wish me well, I'm just stoked to have it drivable for the Rally

Good luck  .

Looks great, must be very satisfying to have a long-term restoration driveable at last.

Well, there she is in the assembly area, 0745 29/9/13: -

And here we are at the National Motor Museum, Birdwood South Australia: -

Quite a slow trip since there were 1600 entrants
The estimated value of the fleet was $30,000,000

She went well considering we had no windshield and as it turned out, no charge from the alternator :?
We made it OK though, the ignition system only draws a fraction of an Amp to run the car
To be honest, I was surprised the alternator worked at all when we started the engine, but it appears to have retired now.

I have another that is being reconditioned so I'll just do a swap when it's ready

Yes, a lot of tin worm has been eradicated over the past 12 years.
It has been 35+ years since she was on the road

To be honest, I'm enjoying the LACK of pressure ATM.
Just pottering around fixing a few little things, waiting for some chroming to be done.
The last 3 - 4 weeks have been a really anxious time for me.
In any one day the "will I" or "won't I be ready" thoughts were running riot!
In the end the decision was easy.
When I filled out the Temporary Permit for the Rally, one of the questions was, "Is there a windscreen fitted?"
HELL NO!
I had no roof either
So I went for it!
Fortunately the weather was perfect although I must have eaten a few insects and we got very wind burnt.
I've got all the interior panels to trim apart from the door cards and parcel shelf so I'll get to those this week sometime.
So far she's done 130 miles :)
