Hey all,

I'm experiencing some issues with my 81 Stanza. I'm working out at Morisset and need to go home to Newcastle tomorrow which is about a 45 minute drive. I got in the car to grab some dinner and the clutch felt really spongy and didn't feel like it was completely disengaging. The car drives but only if i hold at about half throttle. If i put my foot all the way down it revs but i can hear that it isnt engaging. Any body know how i could fix this and if i'll be sweet to drive it home?

Cheers

Could have a leak, check your fluid level, crack the slave cylinder bleeder and let it gravity bleed a little bit could have build up pressure or air in lines.
clutch could just be slipping because you need a new clutch.
Also if your slave cylinder pin is adjustable have a look at that.

yeah unless the clutch has suddenly worn and the slave cylinder push rod can be adjusted, then you're stuffed.
It's most likely the pressure plate buggered. If you try to drive it far it will probably just give out totally and the engine will just be free-revving.

Mostly OK, needs typical rust and panel work.

Give me a call on 0401169265 if you have trouble getting her home mate. I'm 10 mins from Morriset. I have access to a car trailer or possibly some parts that will fit.

Cheers.
