Just saw in the paper today that Adelaide datsun legend Peter Hall was in a bad racing accident recently and is in hospital.
See the story here.

Agree. Hope he's getting better. Lurch was saying Peter broke some bones/vertebrae in his neck?!
Hope he's OK?
Baz/Lurch you got any updates?

Just read this on Performance Forums which was apparently taken from Facebook...

Message from Dave Vaughan

It is with a heavy heart that I communicate to everyone the news that Peter Hall has passed away as a result of the injuries he sustained on Sunday.
There are no words to describe the incredible loss that we all feel at this time and our thoughts and prayers are with Margaret and the family.

I don’t have any other details at the present time, but will advise once I know more.
In the meantime, please feel free to contact me if you need to have a chat – 0418 803 239.

RIP to one of the Iconic faces of SA motorsport
:(

Man, im so lost for words.

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/ad ... 6749927644

The turbo L20B in my grey 510 was built by Peter. I never did get a chance to take it back up to him to show him how it drove.
I also have another hot L20B on an engine stand that was built by Peter aswell.
No doubt he will be sorely missed by all...

d, I think it looked pretty much the same from the other side. Something must have gone wrong inside?

I friend had an accident in his 1975 260Z where he ran up a 4wd tow bar as he stopped suddenly he couldnt avoid hitting him and the engine ended up squashing his legs and hip with many fractures in those areas. I know these cars are old but it is a shame if the longer 6 is responsible for crumble zone issues or could be something else at racing speeds? the chassis below seem to buckle up.
RIP P Hall.

That geriatric ARSE Ted Huglin stalled his Lambo on the start line, Peter came through from a few rows back, had nowhere to go & ran into the back of Ted.
From reports Ted had his foot on the brake, so when Pete hit him, there was no give...

Pete suffered a broken neck between C1 & C2 vertebra which is (generally) something you don't recover from.
A HANS device may have saved his life...

R.I.P. Hallsie :(

I was reading the thread on PF about that Ted guy, Lurch, he sounds like he's got a less than stellar record on the track, shame it came to this :(
