Hey All,

I bought my 1600 with coilovers installed (some kind of cheap no-name brand). Long story short, the car is WAAY too low, especially at the rear. As far as I can tell, everything is factory other than the coilovers (still has the drum brakes), just wondering what my options are? Can I buy a pair of height adjustable coilovers and swap them out? If coilovers are not an option to raise the back up would it be as simple as buying new shocks and some slightly lowered springs?

cheers.

Can't you just wind them up?

Nope - they are bare bones coilovers, not height adjustable (although the seller claimed they were grrrrr.)

Oh, that sucks. Got any pics?

Coilovers just replace the shock, a bolt in job. So either of your options could work.

If you revert back to a traditional shock/spring combo, remember to install the rubber that goes between the top of the spring and the body, or just use some hose like Baz recommends.
