Hi all,

I was just wondering if anybody has experimented with girdles on an L series engine ? I'm thinking of having one CNC'ed up for my L20B. The engine is used for track work only. I'm currently rebuilding it..... I've never had an issue, but I wold hate to see it go bang.

Runs custom JE forged pistons, custom Pauter connecting rods, efi hardware throttle bodies, microtech efi and ignition, Kameari mechanical chain tensioner, alloy flywheel, etc etc, extensively modified everything lol.

I'm in no rush and won't be getting back to the shed until summer as we are building a new house at the moment, just looking for ways to build reliability into the engine. This will be it's last rebuild, the next power plant will be electric, so I want to last as long as possible.

Thoughts ? Good idea or waste of time ?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Waste of time & money. IMO.

Cheers Baz, appreciate your feedback. Might leave it then :-) More money for suspension!
