The Haltech type requires a simple flat aluminium plate to adapt to the OEM throttle body.

I could be wrong, I have been before, but I think only the aftermarket ECUs use the potentiometer type.
OEM ECUs are the switch type.

Some aftermarket use switch type, only to let the computer know when to idle.

With a potentiometer type they can control throttle pump type and other fueling type settings.

What ECU do you have nick?
